Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup Marsala wine
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped onions
- 1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
- Mayonnaise
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine the ground beef, Marsala wine, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped onions, minced garlic, salt, and pepper
Mix well
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat
Add the burger patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side or until they reach your desired level of doneness
During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of provolone cheese and allow it to melt
Toast the hamburger buns in the skillet or toaster until they are lightly browned
Assemble the burgers by placing lettuce leaves and tomato slices on the bottom half of each bun
Add a burger patty with melted cheese on top
Spread mayonnaise on the top half of the buns and place them on the burgers to complete the sandwiches
Serve the Marsala Burgers hot and enjoy
